Refunds

The administration/registration fee of £200 is non-refundable, under all circumstances.

A full refund of any paid course fees is applicable if UKCOE cancels any course due to operational problems. In this case students will be offered a 10% discount for transfers to another course or the next available course of the same category. Refunds will be made within 2 weeks of the course cancellation.

Refunds will be made only in the form of a company cheque or banker’s draft. Cash is not issued under any circumstances.

Students who are late in starting their course, or whose attendance falls below 80% without valid justification for the period, or who have been absent for 10 expected contacts without authorisation from the College will not entitled to any refund or reduction in course fees. In the event of a student being dismissed from the College for any reason, no fees will be refunded.

The collection of a refund by an appointed third party in the UK will be allowed only after receipt of written authorisation from the student and only on provision of photo identification by the appointed recipient.

In the case of a student failing to obtain entry clearance, evidence must be produced showing that the entry clearance application was refused.  Course fees will be refunded in full, less the administration/registration charge of £200.

Any claims for refunds due to a visa being rejected must be made in writing within 90 days of the decision.

The College will not accept any claims after this date under any circumstances.  The College will refund only to the account or individual from whom it initially received the fees.

Any student who fails to attend within 2 weeks of commencement of the course will be reported to the UK Border Agency as missing, their application will be rejected and their place will be offered to another student. Students will not be entitled to any refund. No cancellations are accepted after the student has obtained entry clearance to the United Kingdom.

Refund applications must be made in writing to the College, accompanied by the original supporting documentation.

Authorised refunds will be made within 2 weeks of the final approval.

Payment of fees in full will be necessary where a student has failed to complete a course and wants to re-commence the same course or apply for another course.

No refunds will be given under the following circumstances:

A. If a cancellation is made due to changes in personal circumstances, including a family bereavement.  (Students are advised to take out insurance against such unforeseen circumstances.)

B. If a student is asked to leave the country by the United Kingdom Authorities, or if they leave the UK during the programme period without consultation with or a covering letter from the College and are subsequently refused re-entry.

C. If ‘Leave to Remain’ is revoked or an extension is refused as a consequence of attendance falling below 80% over the period of the course, as a consequence or of any illegal activities.

D. If a student’s studies are disrupted due to conviction, court proceedings or litigation.

E. If a student is dismissed from the College on the grounds of gross misconduct. (The College will inform the UK Border Agency of this dismissal.)

F. If a student’s registration is terminated with immediate effect where submission of fraudulent documentation is proven.

G. If a student fails to sign in within 2 weeks of the course start date.

All refunds are subject to the final approval of the CEO of the UK College of Excellence.

The College will inform the local Embassy, High Commission or Consulate and the UK Border Agency about any course cancellations (in the case of international students).
